Going to the zoo!

The Columbus Zoo is one of our favorite places to go to get out of the house for some fun.  We try to go about once a week, either by ourselves or to meet up with friends.  We recently got to check out their new stingray bay exhibit where you can go in and touch the stingrays in a big pool.  Gabriel didn't want to actually touch them, but had a great time getting right up close and watching everyone else touch them.  We took our first trip in mid-august on a zoo trip with Grandma.  Grandpa and Daddy didn't want to miss out, so we went back for another visit to the stingrays on Labor Day when they were off work to join us.  With the extra sets of hands, I was able to take some more pictures of our adventures and even get Eli out of his carrier a few times to check things out!

First time touching the stingrays!

He was so mesmerized, he actually dipped his forehead in once while looking.

"1, 2, 3, up!"

Gabe makes a repeat visit to the stingrays with Daddy and Grandpa.  Grandma, Eli and I just watched this time.

Checking out some local Ohio animals at a show.

Daddy and Gabriel pet the flamingo.

Flamingos!

Checking out the touch pool in the aquarium.

Eli loves the fish.

I think he could have stay there watching them all day!

Gabriel showing us his favorites.

The penguins hanging out outside in their breeding pairs (the pairs had matching colored leg bands)
