Aunt Sue comes to visit

Will's Aunt Sue and her husband Doug have been living out in Hawaii where they started a church for the past 4 or 5 years.  While we would love to visit Hawaii to see them, it's an expensive plan trip for our budget and quite a long trip with little ones in tow.  I hadn't even gotten to meet them yet since they weren't able to make it to Ohio for our wedding and we haven't been able to visit.

In June, Doug had a general assembly to attend in Chicago as minister for their church.  Sue decided to fly a little further East to come and visit us.  It was a great time for Will to catch up with her, and for the boys and me to meet her.  We enjoyed sharing meals together, time outside at the park watching Gabriel play. and just catching up with one another.  One of my favorite places we went was the Der Dutchman restaurant out in Plain City.  We hadn't ever been even though it's only about 15 minutes away and Sue hadn't been in many years.  It was great to eat the yummy Amish food, sit in the old fashioned rocking chairs and buggies and check out the farm animals across the street.

On Saturday, while Eli was napping, Sue, Will and Gabriel went to check out a park and a monument of Chief Leatherlips.  The monument didn't tell much about him, but they had fun playing there all the same.  We finished out the weekend with church and a relaxing Sunday.
